Anime Club

Anime club is a club where anime fans can gather, make friends, hang out, and watch anime! Each meeting we watch a couple of episodes of an anime or watch an anime movie. Sometimes we have snacks or activities.

Art Club

Anyone in an art class is welcome. It is every Thursday from 2:25-4 in Mrs. Muntean’s room. Members work on individual art projects.

Art of Magic Club

For beginners or experienced students. Learn and practice sleight of hand skills with cards, coins, rubber bands, and more!  Take these skillls to develop your own brand of magic tricks.

Cheer

We cheer for all home and away games.  Tryouts are in late March and we go year round.  We have a sideline and competition team. Some of our awards include: National Team of the Year, National Coach of the Year, WSCCA Program of the Year,  12 State Championships, 3 National Titles.

Color Guard

The Hanford Marching Band has a stylistic, hard-working, and award-winning color guard program. The HMB color guard begins practice in mid-August and ends in early November. Get involved today and travel Washington with HMB to compete in many different marching band competitions.

Culinary Club/FCCLA

If you are looking to improve your culinary skills, have a good time cooking with really fun people and eating at every meeting, then you need to join HHS Culinary Club.  We learn new skills every week from cake decorating, to knife skills we learn it all.  We will also be participating in cooking competitions next spring.

Dance Team

The Hanford High School Falcon Fever Dance Team is a hard-working and dedicated group who meet 7 or more hours per week. The team competes and performs in a variety of dance styles including pom, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, etc. They have won a total of 19 State Champion Titles. Look for information on tryouts mid-May. We dance all year!

DECA is a business, marketing and entrepreneurship club. Students focus on leadership, community and school activities along with area, state and national business competitive events.

Drama Club

Drama Club meets the first Tuesday of every month. It offers information regarding upcoming shows and theatre events around the community. All students are welcome, even if your NOT in drama. We have several areas that we can use help in.

Engineering/Robotics Club

Do you like robots or making things?  Come to the HHS Engineering Meetings.  No experience needed, join at anytime. The FIRST TECH  robotic competitions happen in the first semester, and during the second semester we demo the robot and learn from experts.

Ecology Club

The Ecology Club promotes an appreciation for the environment.  We take nature walks, visit burrowing owl nests and help with environmental projects in our community.  We raise tomato’s and flowers in the greenhouse as our annual fundraiser and take an annual trip to a wilderness area.

Fashion Club meets after school in Mrs. Lewis's room 2201 on Wednesdays.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to join and no prior experience is needed.

We enjoy many activities-food, field trips, games, parties, and competitions with the Spanish and German Clubs (Olympics, Christmas door decorating, broomball, etc.)

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a national organization of coaches and student-athletes who gather together in their faith.  Here at HHS, we meet twice a month to hear encouraging messages, play games and hang out together.

All video-game game lovers are welcome! We meet every other Friday in room1606. Bring your own console and join us for some good times and laughs!

German Club

German club meets monthly for activities like movie nights, foreign language olympics, broomball, an annual trip to Leavenworth, Christmas decorating contest, and other holiday celebrations. This club is open to everyone interested in German or German culture. See Frau for more details.

Green Ribbon Club is a club which is bringing attention and understanding to mental health issues in our society and in our schools.  It wants to end the negative stigma about mental health with better education and communication about these issues.

Hanford Thespian Troupe

The Hanford Thespian Troupe is a branch of a nation-wide thespian program. Thespian is name for an actor/actress based off of the name Thespis an ancient Greek actor. To be in the HHS Thespian Troupe you must collect 25 points, 20 from high school and 5 may carry over from middle school.  Once inducted, you are a thespian for life.

Ice Cream Club (ICC)

Ice Cream Club is a social gathering for ice cream enthusiasts. We will be enjoying all kinds of ice cream and learn how to make the perfect soft serve cone. Meetings will be the first Friday of every month in the trophy room. Everyone is welcome

As a part of the Kiwanis organization, Key club members focus on leadership and service to the school and community.

Love yarn and fiber arts?! Come to knitting club!  Knitters, crocheters, weavers, any or all are accepted! Don’t know how to knit or crochet?! We can teach you and we have lots of supplies!!!

Knowledge Bowl is a friendly, academic competition that covers every possible topic, from Math to Language Arts, Music, Science, History, and beyond.  It is perfect for people who love trivia of all kinds, or who have a deep knowledge of just a few subjects.

Link Crew

Link Crew is a mentorship program where Juniors and Seniors mentor incoming freshmen.  In August, the Link Crew mentors attend trainings to prepare for Freshmen Orientation Day. Link Crew mentors apply each spring to be in the program the following year. You can also contact Mrs. Guereca or Mr. Gray for more information.

Math Club

Math Club is a safe, friendly, and enthusiastic environment where students of all skill levels can come and develop new math skills through peer explanation while also sharpening their existing talent. Math club is also competition-based, with frequent in-classroom and travel competitions that allow Hanford to go head-to-head with other schools in the region and state. We take pride in representing Hanford humbly and positively, and invite everyone with a love for math to join our math club community!

ME to WE club focuses on local and global service project opportunities.  We choose a global platform to support:  education, health etc and a local one also: homelessness, hunger, etc.  We are currently holding a Canned Food Drive to support the Tri-City Union Gospel Mission and collecting money to help girls around the world get an education.

A club that is designed to be an extension of the classroom but is open to any and all students. Activities range from dissections of rabbits and frogs to playing kickball against other High School Sports Medicine Clubs in the Tri Cities.

UN Women’s club is a place to discuss, advocate, and bring awareness in regards to worldwide gender equality and those that coincide with it (i.e. human trafficking, hate-crimes, violence, health/sanitary deficiency throughout the world)

Writing Club

Writing club is a place of creativity, friendliness, and fun.  We discuss our story ideas and other projects while working together to perfect talents utilizing poetry and prose.  In the words of Ernest Hemingway: “We are all apprentices in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.” Writing club is for all aspiring authors as well as those who simply want to improve as essay writers.

Play your role in documenting the events happening at Hanford by joining the GYRE staff.  Students work collaboratively to create and design the yearbook while developing an understanding of design principles, journalistic writing, and photography.
